Endgame is a rotation, not a single boss. After 1.0, healthy saves juggle region progression, breeding projects, base upgrades, and collector goals without burning out on one grind.
The moment “mid-game” ends
You are in endgame territory when most of these are true:
- Classic syndicate Towers are cleared or trivialized
- Your main base prints food, ingots, and spheres without constant babysitting
- You have reliable flight/fast travel for long commutes
- You are deciding between projects instead of desperately unlocking basic tools
If those are not true, return to the beginner route and base guide before treating Sunreach as your daily driver.
The four endgame pillars
| Pillar | Objective | Done looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Region | Sunreach / World Tree style content | Stable clears + local resource access |
| Genetics | Breeding + long-term Pal upgrades | Keeper Pals for work and war |
| Factory | Base throughput | Spheres/ingots/components on tap |
| Collection | Dex, rares, sanctuaries | Targets remaining are intentional |
Pillar deep-dives
1) Region progression
Run the Sunreach & World Tree guide as a campaign with prep checkpoints. Your goal is not tourism—it is unlocking stable farming and combat loops in the new space. If clear speed is miserable, the correct response is usually levels, element swaps, or breeding—not blind retries.
2) Genetics
Pick one worker line and one combat line. Finish them to a standard you can defend (“Handiwork rank + work-speed passives” / “boss element DPS + ATK passives”). Then consider Awakening/Mutation sinks. Parallel gene chaos is how endgame turns into spreadsheet pain.
3) Factory
Endgame crafts are hungrier. Expand Handiwork and power only when queues are the true bottleneck. Re-read pathing rules whenever you add a new wing; pretty multi-floor bases often silently kill throughput.
4) Collection
Sanctuaries and rare routes are dessert. Schedule them so they don’t cannibalize progression weeks. Use the sanctuary guide and keep a written hit list.
Weekly loop template (solo-friendly)
- Session A — Factory day: restock food, ingots, spheres; rebuild queues; box triage.
- Session B — Progression day: push region objectives / elites / remaining towers.
- Session C — Genetics day: breeding checks, hatches, parent replacements.
- Session D — Collection day: sanctuary/rare routes with a hard sphere budget.
If you only play twice a week, combine A+B one day and C+D the other. Always start a short session with Factory maintenance—broken food loops cascade into everything.
90-day roadmap example
| Days | Focus | Success metric |
|---|---|---|
| 1–14 | Stabilize commute + first serious 1.0 clears | You can enter/leave new content without bankrupting repair/food |
| 15–45 | One combat keeper line + one crafter keeper line | Both in active use weekly |
| 46–90 | Outpost optimization + collection targets | Sphere surplus returns; box stays triage-clean |
Goal setting that prevents burnout
- One combat project (boss/region gate)
- One base project (new wing, better staffing)
- One gene project (specific passive outcome)
Three concurrent projects is plenty. Twelve is how saves die. When a project finishes, celebrate by deleting its temporary chests and starting only one new project.
Common endgame failure modes
- Living in the new region while the main factory starves
- Upgrading random Pals because they dropped once
- Hoarding 200 unsorted catches “for later”
- Chasing collection before you can afford spheres
