New Regions
Sunreach Sky Islands
A chain of floating islands accessible from the east coast once you can fly. Features 15 new Pal spawns, Hexolite Quartz mining nodes, the Sunreach Tower boss fight, and access to the mutation system materials. Enemies are level 45-55.
Feybreak
A broken continent on the western edge of the map. 10 new Pals, Soralite mining, and the Feybreak Tower boss fight (Bjorn & Bastigor). Tougher than Sunreach — recommended level 50+.
World Tree Summit
The endgame zone at the center of the map. Accessible after clearing the main storyline. Contains the final boss fight (Zenara & Astralym) and the Celestial mutation unlock. Enemies are level 60+.
Mutation System
Mutation is the biggest new gameplay system in 1.0. It lets you roll variant Pal species from eggs — including exclusive forms that cannot be caught in the wild.
- Requires Player Level 45+ and Ancient Technology Points
- Mutation Elixir crafted at High Quality Workbench (uses Hexolite Quartz and Life Crystal)
- Applied to breeding pairs via the Monitoring Stand
- ~2-16% mutation chance per egg depending on setup
- Produces stat-boosted variants and element-shifted forms
See the full Mutation Guide for mechanics, rates, and target recommendations.
Level Cap Increase: 50 to 80
The level cap has been raised from 50 to 80. This affects all progression systems:
- New technology unlocks from 51-80 (gear, buildings, crafting recipes)
- Stat point allocation continues (more HP, ATK, weight)
- Enemy Pals in new zones scale to level 70-80
- Jetragon’s level increased to 70, saddle requires level 79
Balance Changes
- Work Suitability levels — Some Pals had their work levels adjusted. Verify your base assignments after updating.
- Sphere catch rates — Adjusted across all tiers. Legendary Spheres are now required for high-level legendary captures.
- Food system — SAN depletion rates adjusted. Higher-tier food is more important for maintaining worker uptime.
- Breeding combos — Some combos changed with the expanded roster. Use the Breeding Calculator to verify.
- Jetragon moved — Relocated from Mount Obsidian to Sunreach region. Level increased from 50 to 70.
Quality of Life Improvements
- Ultrawide monitor support (21:9 and 32:9)
- Improved Pal pathing in base layouts
- Fast travel points added to all new regions
- Inventory sorting improvements
- Offshore building foundations
FAQ
Is my pre-1.0 save compatible?
Yes. Existing saves from early access are compatible with 1.0. However, old breeding combos may have changed — check the calculator before relying on pre-1.0 combinations.
Do I need to start a new world?
No. All new content (regions, Pals, mutation) is accessible from existing saves. New regions appear on the map regardless of save origin.
Are old mods compatible with 1.0?
Most mods from pre-1.0 need updating. Check the mod author’s page for 1.0 compatibility. Outdated mods can cause crashes and save corruption.
