Towers are gear checks wrapped in element quizzes. Treat each attempt like a raid pull: prepare, specialize, learn one mechanic pattern, then commit.
Universal Tower prep checklist
- ☐ Identify boss element and swap party accordingly
- ☐ Bring cooked food stacks (player + Pal)
- ☐ Repair weapons/armor; pack spare ammo if needed
- ☐ Sphere belt optional—this is usually not a capture fight
- ☐ Level band roughly aligned with the region
- ☐ Hotbar heals where you can actually press them
Attempt framework (same for every Tower)
- Pull 1 — Learn: survive 30–60 seconds, note deadly attacks, leave if hopeless.
- Adjust: swap weak Pals, change weapons, add food quality, reconsider level gap.
- Pull 2 — Execute: burst on safe windows, recall dying Pals early.
- Clear or extract: don’t burn an hour of repair debt on pride.
Party building for Towers
| Slot | Job |
|---|---|
| 1 | Primary elemental DPS vs boss weakness |
| 2 | Secondary DPS / status pressure |
| 3 | Flex (extra weakness or defensive utility) |
| Player | Consistent damage + emergency recalls + healing |
Why people fail Towers
- Bringing their overworld travel team unchanged
- Ignoring element weakness
- Entering 10+ levels under the content
- Letting Pals stay deployed at 5% HP
- No food (silent DPS loss and sudden wipes)
Rewards and pacing
Tower clears are progression milestones, not the entire game. After each clear:
- Convert new unlocks into base power (tech, gear, access)
- Reassess worker roster—new biomes often demand new logistics
- Only then schedule the next Tower
1.0 context
With 1.0 expanding endgame destinations, Towers remain the mid-game curriculum. Clear them to unlock confidence and gear pathways, then treat Sunreach / World Tree style content as a separate preparation cycle with higher level and breeding expectations.
