Jetragon has moved in Palworld 1.0. It no longer spawns at Mount Obsidian. Its new location in the Sunreach region, combined with a level increase to 70, makes it a substantially harder catch than before. This guide covers everything you need to bring Jetragon home.
New Location (1.0 Update)
Jetragon now spawns in the Sunreach region, far southeastern corner of the map. To reach it:
- Fast travel to Azure Tapestry at coordinates (-478, -1381)
- Fly northwest to the neighboring floating island
- Jetragon spawns near a cave opening on that island
The area is level 65-70. You need a strong flying mount with good stamina and heat-resistant gear for the volcanic parts of Sunreach.

Element Matchup
Jetragon is Dragon element. It is weak to Ice (2x damage) and resists Fire and Dark. Bring Ice-type Pals exclusively. Frostallion is the best counter.

- Frostallion (lead DPS) — Ice attacks deal 2x damage
- Frostallion Noct or Glacier (backup Ice DPS)
- Faleris or Ragnahawk (fire mount for zone traversal)
- Nivalex (support Ice Pal)
Catch Strategy
- Scout the area first. Clear any aggressive wild Pals near Jetragon’s spawn point so you don’t get interrupted mid-fight.
- Open with a Rocket Launcher while Jetragon is in its intro animation (free damage).
- Deploy Frostallion immediately. Its Ice attacks will chunk Jetragon’s HP fast.
- Lower HP to red (approximately 5-10% remaining). Use the Ring of Mercy to avoid killing it.
- Apply Freeze status effect using Frostallion’s ice skills. Frozen targets have higher capture rates.
- Throw Legendary Spheres while Jetragon is frozen or recovering. Expect to use 10-20 spheres.
What to Do If You Accidentally Defeat It
Jetragon respawns after 1 hour (real time). You can wait at the spawn location or fast-travel away and return.
Breeding Alternative
If catching Jetragon proves too difficult, you can breed it from Paladius + Necromus. This requires both desert legendaries but guarantees a Jetragon egg on the first successful hatch.

The developers relocated Jetragon to Sunreach to make it endgame content accessible only after reaching the new area. Mount Obsidian Jetragon was pre-1.0 content.
What level do I need to craft Jetragon’s saddle?
