Is Jetragon Worth Using?

Endgame target

Legendary Dragon Pal and the fastest flying mount in Palworld — essential for late-game travel and combat.

Keep if

  • Useful base roles: Handiwork. Slot Jetragon where those jobs are short-staffed.
  • Worth planning a catch or breeding chain once your base can support cakes and higher spheres.
  • Partner skill — Aerial Dominator — Massive damage boost while mounted; enables高速 flight with reduced stamina drain.

Skip if

  • Loses tempo into Ice matchups — bring a counter before hard fights.
  • Hard access — long breeding chains or tough alpha fights before it joins the roster.
  • Narrow job coverage — pair with other Pals if your base needs mining, kindling, or farming too.

Jetragon is the Palworld speed king. With the highest movement speed of any Pal and a massive Dragon-type attack stat, Jetragon is both your fastest mount and your strongest combat flyer. It cannot be caught early — you will need Legendary Spheres and a level 45+ character.

Location & Spawn

Jetragon spawns at Mount Obsidian Summit (coordinates -789, -321) in the volcanic region. It is a Legendary boss with a weekly respawn timer (real-time, ~7 days). The area is level 45-50 with aggressive Fire Pals.

Preparation:

  • Heat-resistant armor (at least Metal tier)
  • 20+ Legendary Spheres (Ultra Spheres will not work — you need the top tier)
  • Food buffs for capture rate (if available)
  • A fast flying mount to chase Jetragon (it covers distance quickly)

Strategy: Bring Jetragon’s HP down to approximately 5-10% using Dragon-type or Ice-type attacks. Avoid killing it — the last sliver of HP is where your capture chance is highest. Apply status effects like Freeze or Stun if you have them.

Best Passive Skills

For a combat Jetragon, aim for these passives:

  • Legend — +20% ATK/DEF + 15% movement speed (must-have)
  • Musclehead — +30% ATK, -10% Work Speed (maximizes DPS)
  • Ferocious — +20% ATK
  • Swift / Runner — +30% / +20% movement speed (best for a travel mount)

Breeding

Jetragon can be bred from Paladius + Necromus (both caught as legendary bosses in the central desert). This is the only breeding combination that produces Jetragon. See the Jetragon breeding page for more details.

Combat Assessment

Jetragon is the best Pal for any fight where you need mobility. Its Dragon-type attacks hit hard against Neutral and Dark Pals. Use its aerial advantage to kite ground-based bosses — few enemies can hit you while you’re flying at max speed.

Progression Note

Make catching Jetragon your priority at level 45-50. It transforms your farming efficiency — gathering resources, reaching Sunreach, and clearing dungeons all become significantly faster with Jetragon as your mount.
